Quick guide to electronic files

All text and graphics files must be included in your electronic submission.

DO NOT include the cover letter in your submitted files (you will be asked to provide this on the submission pages).

DO include the synopsis/abstract in your submitted files, AND in the box provided in the submission pages.

  1. Single PDF files. We strongly encourage you to submit a single Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file containing the entire manuscript, including figures, to expedite review. For detailed information on how to generate a PDF file go to CS instructions for creating PDFs. Please ensure that your PDF file is single-line-spaced.

  2. Text and separate graphics files. If you are unable to create a PDF file, the following is a sample of the file types that we can accept.

    • Microsoft Word files should be single-line-spaced.

    • Figures are acceptable in the following formats:
TIFF, EPS, GIF, JPEG, BMP, Excel, PowerPoint, CorelDraw

Please note - the above figure formats are for Peer Review ONLY. Should your manuscript be accepted for publication we will ask for specific formats

  3. Supplementary files. In addition to the above-mentioned file types, we can also accept the following:

    • AVI, SWF, MPEG, QT, MOV, PDB

If your file type is not listed above, please contact the Editorial Office (editorial@clinsci.org) for advice.
